When it comes to house hunting, here’s what I, a Real Estate Agent, tend to notice

  1. At first... most people have no clue how much money they need saved - up front - to purchase a house...sometimes they think too much, and sometimes too little.

  2. No one is prepared for how emotionally draining the home buying experience can be or how much they lean on their Realtor for emotional support during the process.

  3. Most of the time a home buyer can expect the 80/20 rule as far as the house they end up in...

...the house will only meet 80% of their wants and needs.

It takes about 1 day in the new home for the new owner to realize they did not need the other 20% of what they wanted anyways.

  4. They do not realize how many different recommendations they will need during the home buying process...

...title company, lender, home inspector, termite inspector, structural engineer.... to name a few.

Make sure you find a Realtor you truly connect with and trust when buying real property.

It’s about more than just opening doors, it’s about having someone to lean on every step of the process.
